Facebook Password Recovery Without Email or Phone Number

Mission almost impossible

Gotta love browsers that save passwords. I love easy logins because sometimes I'm too lazy to open my password manager (BTW, I use KeePassXC, a free open-source app that has saved my bacon on several occasions).

Reliance on tech to solve one problem often also causes another. Take Facebook as a small and fairly inconsequential example. There's no way I could remember my FB password if forced to enter it from memory. I'm not even sure if I updated my password manager. 

So, that leads me to a recent customer question submitted to our support team (which is open 24/7, BTW). 

How can I log into my FB account if I don't remember the associated password, email address, or mobile phone number? 

Ah, the trifecta of log-in oopsies.

Keep reading, and I'll show you some possible solutions that might work if the stars are aligned just so. TL; DR. The news ain't good. 

1. Use your backup email or number

You set up an alternate email or phone number for your account, right? If yes, you're golden. You can use those credentials to reset your password.

2. Contacting FB support

If those backup credentials aren't available, your last hope is to try Facebook support. The customer service team interrogation is painless, but you'll need to confirm that you are the account holder.

Nothing is certain, and there's a chance you won't get back account access. Even still, they may be able to assist if you can prove your identity:

• Visit the Facebook Help Center.
• Go to Login and Password > Fix a Login Problemon the left menu.
• On the page, go to Recover Your Account If You Can't Access the Email or Mobile Number on the Account.
• Follow the prompts based on your circumstances.

That's it. 

Once your password is recovered, you can log in and access your account.
